01 / ABOUT ME
The Art Curio Foundation was established by Namita Singh Thakur, whose enduring curiosity about people, cultures, and the human experience forms the philosophical foundation of the collection.
Approaching art with humility and a deep respect for artistic practice, Namita views collecting not as the acquisition of objects, but as a long-term commitment to artists and the ideas they bring into the world. She is continually inspired by the ability of artists to transform lived experience into works that challenge perspectives, evoke emotion, and deepen our understanding of ourselves and one another.
Her collecting philosophy is guided by a fascination with identity, introspection, philosophy, memory, belonging, and the complexities of contemporary life. Through the Foundation, she seeks to champion emerging artists whose practices invite dialogue and encourage thoughtful reflection across cultures and communities.
At its heart, the Foundation reflects a belief that art possesses a unique capacity to shape how we see the world. By supporting artists at pivotal stages of their careers and fostering meaningful engagement with contemporary practice, the Foundation aspires to contribute to a more inclusive, inquisitive, and culturally connected future.

02 / ART CURIO FOUNDATION
The Art Curio Foundation is a not-for-profit organization supporting early-career and emerging artists across India, the UK, and Africa. The Foundation champions diverse artistic voices through a growing collection, financial grants, and residency opportunities that enable artists to develop and sustain their practices.
With a strong commitment to artists from underrepresented backgrounds—particularly women artists and women of colour—the Foundation works to increase visibility, access, and long-term support within the global art ecosystem. Beyond artist support, it actively advocates for the wider creative community, encouraging opportunities in curation, art writing, gallery practice, art history, and related research and technical fields.
The Foundation’s collection focuses on figurative and abstract practices, exploring themes of identity, self-reflection, philosophy, and politics across cultures. Guided by a belief in art’s power to shape narratives and foster dialogue, The Art Curio Foundation stands alongside artists and cultural practitioners who are reimagining contemporary experience.
